Calandra’s Bakery is an Italian & French bakery serving New Jersey since 1962. The Newark flagship began when Luciano Calandra Sr., an Italian immigrant, opened a small Italian and French bakery; the business is now family owned and operated with an Executive Pastry Chef. The Newark location at 204 1st Ave (open daily 6:00 AM–9:00 PM) offers scratch-baked breads, pastries, cookies, and desserts, plus specialties such as sfogliatelle, rainbow cookies, and gelato cake.
